A FARM & FORAGED BOTANICAL DYE RETREAT

Come learn about plant-based textile dyeing with local artists and teachers, Jasmine Petrie and Karin Fish.

Explore wild dyes from the landscape, create patterns with flowers from the garden, and learn the different methods for botanical printing.  Students will have their hands in the entire process, starting with how to use mordants on fibers to winding bundles of cloth with plants for deep dye baths in a large cauldron over an open fire. 
 

Sourcing leaves and flowers from a local farm, meeting some friendly sheep, going on foraging walks in the wild, morning yoga, evening sauna, garden-fresh meals, luxury glamping and working in conversation with nature... If this sounds like fun, please join us!
