Our sport weight organic merino (21.5 micron), dyed with natural dyestuffs, comes in eight tone-on-tone, semi-solid, gorgeous colors! Each individual skein is one-of-a-kind and no two skeins are exactly alike.
With natural dyes, less water is used in the dyeing process and the resulting waste water is non-toxic, making Botanical Color better for the environment than conventionally dyed yarn.
100g skein (approx. 332 yds.)
Spun in Maine and dyed in Pennsylvania.
 
Dyestuffs used:
CLAY: madder and weld
CLOUD & FOG: Myrobalan with an iron post mordant
MADDER: madder
MOSS: Cutch with an iron post mordant
OCHRE: Cutch
SHADOW: Chestnut with an iron post mordant
SPRING LEAF: weld with an iron post mordant
 
Be aware – Some of the dyes used may exhibit a slight color transfer on first use & wash.  This is normal with natural dyes and will wash off with soap and water.  We suggest you wash your product before wearing it or wash the skeins before using them.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash gently with cold water and a ph neutral soap.  Lay flat to dry, out of direct sunlight.  We advise testing your laundering method on your swatch or sample before washing.  Store out of direct sunlight.
